Upcoming conference – 'Revitalizing Louisiana Creole'

The NOUS Foundation is organizing a conference with the University of Cambridge (Cambridge Endangered Languages and Cultures Group) entitled, Revitalizing Louisiana Creole. The conference will take place on Friday, October 23rd at 11am (CST) via Zoom. The conference brings together a diverse panel of activists, native speakers, and academics for a discussion around the ongoing efforts to promote Louisiana Creole, a critically endangered language that has been spoken in Louisiana for over 250 years. The introductory speech will be conducted by Scott Tilton & Rudy Bazenet, the founders of the NOUS Foundation, a partner of New Niveau. The conference is open to the public and will be conducted in English.
